Maples instead of ash trees
Instead of infected trees, the company planted healthy maple trees
A dozen full-size maple trees have been planted in front of the Thermotron-Zavod LLC building to replace the ash trees that were affected by the ash borer. The trees were purchased as part of the plant's landscaping program.
"Unfortunately, the ash trees that had been growing on Shchors Boulevard for many years, separating the factory buildings from the roadway and attracting bullfinches, were affected by the ash borer," said Anton Abushenko, General Director of Thermotron-Zavod LLC. "This is a common problem throughout the city. After consulting with experts, we decided to replace the dead trees with maple trees. They grow well in our area, grow quickly, and look great at any time of the year."
