Public transport issues

The annual forum "Public Transport 2024" was held in the capital on Friday, October 25. He gathered on his site the heads of federal and regional authorities, development institutions, industrial manufacturing companies, civil fleets, regional carriers, and IT companies. The delegation of Thermotron-Zavod LLC at the forum was headed by Chief Engineer Roman Badeev.

At the exhibition, which was traditionally located on the Forum site, leading manufacturers of rolling stock, equipment, components, modern solutions and technologies for urban transport presented key solutions for urban passenger transport. LLC Termotron-Zavod presented its latest developments for tram infrastructure to the visitors of the exhibition.

Within the framework of the panel session "PPP in public transport: how to stimulate private investment in the industry?" there was a discussion of promising projects in the regions. "The use of public-private partnerships in the form of concession agreements is not limited to the federal level, this mechanism is also used in the regions and is a powerful tool for their development," says Roman Badeev. — A good example of such cooperation is the creation of a new tram network "Kupchino metro station – Shushary – Slavyanka settlement" in St. Petersburg. Electric switch drives manufactured by Termotron-Zavod are supplied to this facility. This project will improve transport accessibility by providing St. Petersburg residents and guests of the Northern Capital with an alternative route, as well as reduce the deficit of the city's social infrastructure."

Following the results of the event, proposals were made to the Government of the Russian Federation on key areas of development of public passenger transport.
