The new equipment is installed in the frame and procurement workshop
A sheet bending press with numerical control produced by the Turkish DURMA plant was launched in the frame-procurement workshop of LLC Thermotron-Zavod. It replaced two Soviet sheet bending machines.
"Previously, the bending machine had to adjust the machine to each size, perform several test parts and only after that start bending," says Sergey Rozhnov, chief technologist of the enterprise. — And now he programs the machine once, and all the tools and stops line up in the right position automatically, regardless of the number of bends. In addition, the installation has a sheet deflection compensation function."
According to Sergey Ivanovich, the new equipment requires a higher qualification of the operator, but this is compensated by the increased accuracy and stability of the press, and therefore the quality of the parts.
