Anniversary of the launch of the first test train
90 years since an important event in the Moscow metro

The first test train in the Moscow metro from Sokolniki to Park Kultury with a branch to Smolenskaya was launched on February 4, 1935, 90 years ago.
The very first train had only 2 cars, a motor and a trailer. However, after the official opening of the subway on May 15, 1935, passengers rode on four-car trains.
Currently, 8-car trains run along the Moscow metro lines.
